6/15/25: Sorrento fun day

319 words, 1 minute read time.

On this day me, Rachel, Moussa, and Jibriel were in Sorrento. The day started off strong where we took the bus to a beach in Sorrento called Bagni Regina Giovanna. The beach was just wonderful, it was much more rockier compared to the beach in Capri and definitely rockier than Ostia. Even though there were some ouches and cuts, the water was so clear and beautiful, it was definitely heart breaking leaving, but we were hungry. Rachel and Jibriel had some good jumps from cliffs and I really wanted to go kayaking, but there wasn’t enough time since the kayaks had to be rented at the port. We ate paninis at a deli nearby and after we decided to walk back to town (a great way to explore a city). While walking we passed by a small like commune? Either way the vibes were great and I liked laying in their hammocks and listening to their music.

Since, we took the bus to the beach we didn’t realize how there actually is no pedestrian walkway back to town, so we walked on the side of a road.

The walk back to town

However, there were amazing views on the walk back.

We made it back to town and passed by very scenic places and landmarks like Plazzo Tasso. We all walked back to casa orange where we played cards, but Jibriel and Moussa had to leave soon after since they accidentally ordered a hostel instead of an airbnb and they wanted to get a new place while also demanding for their money back (they didn’t get it back).

After, we had a group dinner at (surprise, surprise) the Thai place, orange tree restaurant. The food was bomb once again and we all got fortune cookies at the end. We had to google translate them from Italian, however.

Such a fun day! I was so happy the walk was downhill and we saw so many cool little gems on the way. The beach and paninis and honestly everything just made my heart so happy. Hope that the Thai food made up for the hostel mishap and so grateful for the fact that you found casa orange.

Sorrento looks beautiful and so much fun! The rock beach is also gorgeous, the water is so blue. Walking on a road without a pedestrian street sounds scary, though lol.
