Jessica and I woke up (casa orage) and went to get breakfast at a little bar/cafe. They had caramel iced coffee which I was so happy about. We then met up with Jibriel and Moussa and got on a bus to Bagni Reguna Giovanna, which is like a place to swim on a little secluded beach but with rocks as well, it was very beautiful. After a little walk and climbing some rocks we found a spot in some shade to put our stuff down and got into the water. By now it’s clear how much I love swimming and looking at the rocks and fish, and I had an amazing time. I would say cleaner than the beach in Capri but more waves, but so nice and refreshing and blue. We tanned for a little then Jess and I went to do some recon on if we could find kayaks. We didn’t find those because you had to get them in a different area, but we did find the second half of the beach which had places to jump from. We got Jibriel and Moussa and climbed our way over. Jibriel and I were jumping from the rocks and this one was higher than yesterdayโ€™s so it was more air time and alot more fun. There were alot of Italians there which was a good indication that we were in a good spot, and also I spoke to some ukrainians that now live in Italy. We also swam a little in the second half of the beach, and watched crazy Italian people jump from crazy heights. We tanned for a little longer, then decided to head out. On the way there was a sign to a snack bar and when we got there, it was a little hippie community with hammocks and great music so we layed in the hammocks for a little. We then went to a little sandwich shop and got a really good sandwich which was exactly what I needed post beach day. We walked on the side of the road to the main Sorrento road and did some souvenir shopping. We all came back to casa orange and taught Moussa how to play a russian card game durak, while Jibriel was finding housing, and they then left to said housing. We met back for dinner (any guesses?). Whoever said Thai food got it. At this point we have a relationship with the waitresses and waiters and I will miss them forever. Moussa got an ominous fortune cookie (attached). We then went to our respective homes after this great day and had a great sleep.

Hi Rachel! It was great spending my time in Sorrento with you. It was also interesting to see how there were many Ukrainian refugees there who moved to Sorrento. I also liked seeing you jump (you should’ve included a video), but it got scary when some adrenaline junkies started jumping from even higher places. Also, I agree that is a very ominous fortune (not sure how that can even be considered a fortune).

Hey Rachel, what a blunder that I had booked a hostel instead of a hotel. We never got our money back for it but it’s okay. The scenery was beautiful, & cliff jumping was a great experience. Moussa hammocking in that photo is a great capture; I should make that his contact photo.
