The name of this type of coffee pot is called a Mocha pot. You might associate mocha with chocolate flavored coffee, but in fact the name is based on a place in Yemen, Mokha, which has long had a reputation for excellent coffee.
As the Wikipedia page says: “Today, Mocha is no longer used as a major trade route, as local coffee farms could not compete with those in former colonies such as Java“










If you want to make a second pot right away, be sure to run the pot under cold water, so you don’t burn your fingers trying to un-screw it. Dump the grounds in the bin, not down the sink!
